Title: CEO and Owner
I am a native of Las Vegas, Nevada that has not only seen the effects of a community changed by mental health and drug addition but has experienced the deviation of what it will do to the young and innocent life. My own childhood was the catalyst of my drive to help children and families overcome traumatic experiences and help them get to a place of mental wellness, sobriety, and stability. Through diverse afflictions in the early stages of my life I developed behaviors which caused a landslide of problems that could have simply been addressed with therapy. I know firsthand the struggles of being in a household that that believes what goes on in the house stays in the house, well that could not be further from the truth. What goes on in the house funnels in the community, then to cities, states and effects the world we live in. I overcame my challenge and decided to leave a 14-year job and walk into my passion to help others who felt they were trapped in hopeless situations. We Are HOPE is the development of what was kicking inside my loins. Graciously I was able do this after raising my 10 children and maintain a successful 33-year marriage. Through spiritual strength and with great grace I was able to overcome and persevere to help others.
Yamina Jones
Title: Director of Operations, COO, and CFO.
​​I am Yamina Jones, a Native of Las Vegas Nevada, who graduated top of her class in the early 2000’s. Circumstances didn’t afford me the opportunity to attend college right away, therefore I landed a job working in sales and earned the highest position in a prestigious sales atmosphere leading many by training, developing plans and setting new techniques for the team to succeed. After 14 years of working tirelessly in sales, taking care of myself and my daughter I was blind sighted with the company financial situation that resulted in my being laid off. This disrupted something in me at my core. It challenged me to look at what I wanted to be known as, how did I want to contribute as a member in society, and what legacy I’d care to leave on this earth. I grew up in a family full of drug addiction, suffered the loss of my mother at age 3 and found my way by looking for love in all the wrong places. In my heart it was time to help others in ways I’d only dreamed of receiving help at an early age. Not long after my personal realization, Virginia Kendrid asked me to join her in creating opportunities for those who are broken to be healed. I jumped in with both feet to build We Are H.O.P.E. and have not looked back since. Driven by passion, hope and much tenacity I hold position as the Director of Operations, Chief Operating Officer (COO,) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
