Yumi

Hello! My name is Yumi and I am currently in my second year of the MSW program; I am enrolled in the part-time 3-year program. I got my bachelor's from UNLV in criminal justice. I'm still interested in the juvenile side of criminal justice, but more in advocating for them. I strongly believe in alternatives to incarceration, especially with the youth. I have volunteered with Goodie-two-shoes and highly enjoy working with the "play-age" group of kids. As for fun, I enjoy hiking and wanting to do the 52 peaks around the Las Vegas valley. I'm excited to learn and grow with your team!

Guadalupe

My name is Guadalupe, but I also go by Pita. I am in my 2nd year of the MSW program at UNLV. I graduated from UNLV in May 2013 with my bachelor's in human services. Since then, I’ve had the privilege to work in the field with some amazing agencies. I’ve worked in a higher level of care foster agency as a case manager and PSR worker. I’ve also worked with medically fragile and homeless adults as an intensive case manager. I currently work in an elementary school providing basic needs and case managing services to students. In my free time, I like to be outdoors or spend time with my nephews. I’m excited to join the We Are Hope team!
